Corporate Valuation
A company's land, buildings, plant and other assets — for financial reporting, insolvency, mergers, loans and tax.
Learn more
Fair value and liquidation value for resolution professionals and liquidators — by IBBI Registered Valuers for each class of assets.
Overview
In a corporate insolvency resolution process, the resolution professional appoints registered valuers — two for each class of assets — to estimate the fair value and the liquidation value of the corporate debtor's assets. The committee of creditors relies on these values when it considers resolution plans.
Only valuers registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) for the relevant asset class can be appointed. In liquidation, valuations guide the sale of the debtor's assets.
Our valuers hold IBBI registrations for Land & Building and for Plant & Machinery, and we work with an associate registered valuer for Securities or Financial Assets, so all classes of a company's assets can be covered. Each registration can be checked on the IBBI register from our credentials page.

FAQ
Can't find the answer? Ask us directly — we're happy to explain how an assignment would work.
All questionsThe insolvency regulations require two independent registered valuers per asset class, so that the committee of creditors does not rely on a single estimate.
Fair value assumes an orderly sale between willing parties after proper marketing. Liquidation value assumes the asset must be sold quickly, often piecemeal, and is usually lower.
