Specialised Asset Valuation

Valuation of marine, aviation, port, mining and other specialised movable assets — where values depend on certification, utilisation and a thin, often international market.

Overview

Specialised asset valuation

Some assets do not fit a standard machinery valuation. Vessels, helicopters, port cranes and heavy mining equipment are valued on their certification and class status, hours or running life, maintenance history and a market that is often thin and international.

We value these assets with the same discipline as any plant and machinery assignment — physical inspection, document review and a clearly stated basis and premise of value — with input from operators and the asset's technical records.

Cargo and inventory are valued for insurance, claims, customs and lender purposes on the basis of type, specification, condition and prevailing market prices.
